Digital Inclusion Summer Academy

The Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion Announces
Digital Inclusion Summer Academy

The class focused on a deeper understanding of the applications learned in the Make It Take It class, such as Word, Excel and Power Point but then continued with new subject matter covering web page design / publishing and computer networks. In addition new life skills concepts such as critical analysis of information, mock interviews and workplace conflict resolution were introduced into the curriculum.

The Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion has just completed its first Digital Inclusion Summer Academy. For three weeks, in June, students attended a class from 9:00am until 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Standout graduates of the Make It Take It™ class were selected to attend the academy to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of becoming fluent in information technology.

Each student in the program had the option to receive
an upgraded computer,
one year of pre-paid internet connectivity
or a $100 cash incentive.

We are very proud of all of our graduates of the academy
and look forward to holding several more sessions in the future.
